If adragon means, "no beliefs in dragons". I could say that I don't believe in dragons and that I'm an adragon. Then I say that no beliefs is involved because I'm an adragon and that means no dragon. Does that make sense? I had to think about it, choose whether or not they exist, and then believe that the choice I made is true. This is what would make me adragon. Not just its prefix. You have to take all that is involved, the semantics, that is what makes the person fit the definition and prefix.

In order to take a position you need to believe that your position is true. Atheists' take the position that there is no God (or not enough evidence to believe) and must believe that their position is true. They would not take this position if they didn't believe that their position was true. It is a belief. I think some who call themselves atheist are just really following a herd and are really agnostic.

There is a lot of things that cannot be proven. No one can prove that the sun will rise tomorrow. Should we stop living like tomorrow will not exist? No one can prove that their mother, wife, or child really loves them. Should we tell them we don't believe them because we can't prove it? No one can prove that the guy in the car driving near you on a high way is not going to crash into you and kill you. Should we stop driving? No one can prove that other minds really exist. This can all be a dream. Should we stop believing in reality? No one can prove that your past really happened. There are many things that cannot be proven but are still accepted. So when someone says, "You cannot prove that God exist", I say, "So what!" "You can't prove that God doesn't exist. It's part of life and living! Live and let live!!"

whereami, the videos you puy has nothing to do with the topic here. The question is on whether or not atheism is a belief, non-belief or an anti-belief. I say it is a belief.
Most scientist agree that this universe came from some sub nuecli atomic thing that expoded (the Big Bang theory) and created time, space, energy, and matter evolving into the universe we have today. So I think that an atheist needs to explain where this sub nuecli atomic thing that expoded into the Big Bang came from (especially those atheist who are envangelizing). Correct? Whatever scenario they choose (it's eternal, it came from nothing, it came from a mulitiverse, etc.). No one really knows beyond the seconds before it exploded; so, it's a belief. If an atheist says, "I don't know where that thing came from." It's a cop out or they are ignorant to the current scientific discoveries. They definitely should not be trying to envangelize. This is what I think.

To be an atheist one has to believe that the universe is either eternal or came from nothing. There is no evidence for either; therefore, atheism is a belief.

Wow, I think I wouldn't think about it so much for her. She has a lot of years ahead of her to hear both sides to really decide what she believes. I would focus more on my beliefs and maybe share what I learn with her. Here is a nice debate on this topic.
